The recycling of waste materials is an important contributor to the reduction of our carbon footprint and, consequently, to our move to SD. In the last year the school has continued to recycle, as completely as is practical, all paper, cardboard, food waste, plastic waste, tetra packs, glass bottles and metal cans. Further to totals quoted during ecoweek it is worth recording that we send in the region of 90 of the 2 litre milk bottles and 40 juice tetra packs to be recycled every week. All of this material used to go to landfill.
