The Moor Park Parents Association (MPPA) exists to promote the sense of community at Moor Park and to raise money to support creative activities and investments typically not funded through mainstream fees i.e. items and projects which fall beyond those that the school should reasonably be expected to provide for our children. Both these objectives are achieved by organising social and other events which help to build an informal community around the school for parents and families.During the last academic year, we held an Obstacle Challenge, Michaelmas Extravaganza, Barn Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Children's Clothes Sale and Summer Fete.
There is one MPPA Class Representative for each class (normally two therefore for each Year group) and they form the Committee.Generally there are two MPPA meetings each term on a Friday morning at 8.30am.The Class Representative is the contact for parents of that class and they promote communication between the school and parents. The Reps are also asked to galvanise support for school events, be good advocates for the school and actively welcome new parents into their class. They are also encouraged to be involved in organising at least one of the MPPA events each academic year.
